A Winter Wonderland at the Park Avenue Armory

Last Monday, the castle-like setting of Park Avenue Armory was transformed into a winter wonderland for Snowflake Lounge, its annual family holiday fundraiser for the young and the young at heart. 

The afternoon featured annual favorites such as ornament creation, cookie decorating, holiday carolers, and sweet treats as well as a visit from Santa, who held court in one of the Armory’s historic rooms and was available to take keepsake photos with kids and families. 

Snowflake Lounge is generously sponsored by Moncler. Funds raised will support the Armory’s Arts Education programs, focusing on creative, outside-the-box thinking for students from underserved public schools. 

The event was co-chaired by Abigail Baratta, Drew Barrymore, Emma Bloomberg, Hélène Comfort, Heidi McWilliams, Lara Meiland-Shaw, Claire Milonas, and Deborah van Eck. Vice Chairs include Carolina de Neufville, Amandine Freidheim, Barbara Gundlach, Taryn Simon, Lisa Steinberg, and L.F. Turner. Additional notable guests included Gillian Hearst, Alexia Leuschen, and Stephanie Newhouse.
